Many people choose to use snow throwers to make the task easier, but it is important to use them safely. Here are some tips on how to safely use a snow thrower from our team at Fuller Sales & Service.

1. Read the Manual

Before using any machine, it is important to read the manual thoroughly to ensure that you understand how to operate it safely. Pay attention to any warnings, instructions, and safety tips.

2. Dress Appropriately

When using a snow thrower, you should dress in warm, waterproof clothing. Wear boots with good traction to prevent slipping on snow or ice. It is also a good idea to wear eye protection, as snow and debris can fly up and hit your eyes.

3. Clear the Area

Before using a snow thrower, clear the area of any rocks, sticks, or other debris that could get caught in the machine and cause damage. Make sure the area is well-lit so you can see where you are going.

4. Use the Chute Properly

The chute is the part of the snow thrower that throws the snow out. Make sure it is pointed away from people, cars, and windows. Do not put your hands or feet near the chute while the machine is running.

5. Do Not Overload the Machine

Don’t try to clear too much snow at once. This can overload the machine and cause it to malfunction. Take it slow and clear a little bit of snow at a time.

6. Turn off the Machine When Not in Use

When you are finished using the snow thrower, turn it off and wait for all moving parts to come to a complete stop before leaving it unattended.

By following these tips, you can safely use a snow thrower to clear snow from your driveway and walkways. Remember, safety should always come first! Visit Fuller Sales & Service in
